Where do I get my stuff? No worries, I got you, boo. Fair warning, none of these links are going to be revolutionary and they definitely do not fall into the category of best kept secrets, at all. This section will be ever-evolving as I learn and discover more. If you have any questions about what is on here, use the contact form to ask them!

There is no substitute for quality ingredients and equipment. However, I know that not everyone has the access or bankroll to buy what I suggest here. I understand that and will be attempting, in the future, to come up with some cheaper alternatives. (Please bare with me on this.)

Books

Online Sources for Recipes

  • King Arthur Baking Company (A great place to find recipes that you can experiment with and build upon. Also, they offer assistance through a hotline if you are having a problem, which is nice.)
  • Williams Sonoma (They have some quality ideas but the site is not as user friendly as I would like and they offer no support for bakers.)

Equipment

  • King Arthur Baking Company (I use so many of their products it is kind of hilarious.) Here is a list of items that I have purchased from theme in the past and am currently using.
    • Proofing Tubs
  • Nordic Ware (I love their cake forms. I have a great many in my collection.)
  • Sur La Table (I do not buy any of their in-house branded items after their baking sheets peeled apart on me. However, they do carry some major brands that are worth checking out.)
  • Williams Sonoma(I buy all of my major equipment from them.)
    • Kitchenaid Mixer
    • Silicone Utensils
    • Cookie Scoops

Ingredient Sources

  • King Arthur Baking Company – This is more or less my one-stop shop for ingredients. Their Baker’s Rewards program is incredibly helpful. The ingredients that I have bought here have performed very well and predictably.
  • Sur La Table – They carry some of the more niche ingredients, as well as some select items from King Arthur.
  • Fresh Market – Regional, certainly, but the best place for high quality fresh and dry ingredients. They also carry some hard-to-find ingredients.
  • Penzy Spices

Ingredients

  • Kerrygold Butter (unsalted) – This European style butter has a high keratin content and produces the most wonderful baked goods!
  • Guittard, Ghirardelli, Scharffen Berger and King Arthur offer the best options for adding chocolate to your recipes. These are fairly high quality chocolates that won’t break the bank. I am not a huge fan of the other commercial brands, but to each their own.
  • Wholesome (sugars) – These sugars are of excellent quality and make great additions to your baked goods. When I need powdered, cane, and light brown sugar for a recipe, this is the brand I use.
